Ielts Speaking part 1 Mirror

Do you often use mirrors? 

Yes, I do. It’s fair to say that they are indispensable for women. I use them whenever I wash my face or put on my makeup. I also look at myself in the mirror before going out to make sure I’m properly dressed and have nothing weird on my face.

Do you think mirrors are decorative items? 

Absolutely. Mirrors can be used for decoration because they can reflect and adorn the elegant features of a room. Mirrors now come in all shapes and sizes so they can go well with other furniture items. By putting mirrors in the right place they can make a room look brighter, more spacious and tastefully-designed.

Have you bought mirrors ?

Let me see. My dad bought all the mirrors in our home when he built it a couple of years ago. But I do buy tiny mirrors from time to time. Actually, they usually came with cosmetic products I bought, such as face powder or eye powder. 

Would you like to use mirrors to decorate your home in the future? 

To be honest, this isn’t something I’ve ever considered. Given the recent spike of housing prices, I don't think I will be able to afford my own home. But if I ever could, I’d  put some mirrors in my living room and bathrooms. They would be of immense benefits, practically and aesthetically. Of course, I would need to consult with my dad as putting mirrors in the wrong place is believed to cause nuisance and conflicts in Vietnamese culture.
